II. Cuaderno Interactivo (INB)
We will use Interactive Notebooks for note taking, vocabulary and practice activities. Today, we will set up your interactive notebook so you can be ready to use it. Our goal is to be organized for the year, prevent work from getting lost.
None of the first pages will be numbered, the first page is not "page 1." Numbered pages come after all of the following stuff.
STEP 1: Front of notebook and first page: First/ID page, should state your nombre, clase, nombre del profesor. On the inside of the front cover glue the grading rubric.

Today YOU will go over the course syllabus, which I've provided. Take a few minutes to read it and complete the activity below. Open your interactive notebook to page one and page two.

The first thing that goes in to our INB is our course syllabus. Take a few minutes to tape down the syllabus to page 2. Use tape on the top as I will show you on the ELMO. This way you know exactly where to put it and how to tape things into your INB in the future.

Draw a cactus, sombrero, a piñata or a pair of maracas with a pencil on page one. In the white spaces, write a minimum of 5 important things you read on the syllabus for our class. (Examples rules, how to contact Sra. Rivera, grading, etc.)

- -Glue Table of Contents (provided) on pages 2-3 after the Name Page. (You may need to trim the edges.)
- -The next 4 pages are for vocabulary. Label them: Unit 1 Vocab, Unit 2 Vocab, Unit 3 Vocab, Unit 4 Vocab.
- -The Next 2 pages should be labeled "Free Space"
- STEP 3: Tape or glue "Grade Tracker" to the back inside cover of the Notebook.
- Step 4: Count out about 15-20 pages from the back for your "Calentamientos". Create a "tab" by folding the papers into a triangle. (If you have a 3 subject notebook, just label the 3rd tab "Calentamientos.")
